 is a two-week program dedicated to experimenting with filmmaking, DIY culture, and collective storytelling. This camp is not a school, it's a playground, and here, you decide how the movie goes! We play with what a film can be, trying out techniques and exploring possibilities, with the group serving as our main resource: you’ll be actors, directors, lighting technicians, set designers, and more.


 Experimentation and Storytelling. You'll meet other young people, learn from professional artists and filmmakers, watch movies, play, improvise, and manipulate materials to find your collective story and create a script.

 Making the movie! We prepare the set, costumes, and roles. You'll train as actors, directors, and camerapersons before we hit record! On the final day, we collaborate with an editor to shape the footage.

This year's camp runs in parallel with the exhibition of 

, who will join the camp for several days. The theme, 

, becomes a space to unpack anger. Together, we explore how it can be used creatively, as a force for building and imagining otherwise.

Open to curious minds, the camp invites participants into a collective (night)mare dream: a place for strange futures, experimentation, and shared authorship. Guided by Josefin Arnell, Sickhouse, and collaborators, you will create a short film from start to finish through improvisation and play, engaging with character, story, image, and sound while developing your own approach to DIY filmmaking.

 The camp is primarily for young people aged 

. To participate, please fill out a short application form where we'd love to learn a bit about you, your interests in film, and your background.

No prior experience in filmmaking or a creative background is required.

 You only need to be available for these two weeks, be open to a collective adventure, and bring your imagination!

The camp is happening over day. We expect participants to join for the two weeks.
We provide lunches but we are not able to provide any accommodation. 
If you need to come from another city, takes this into account as we won’t have means to support you with travel or accommodation costs.

Yesterday the last items of Janne Schimmel’s expo returned to Heist-op-den-berg . Jannes nieuw studio space near antwerpen ( which is amazing ! )

Next week we will start builduing up the exhibition of Josefin Arnell’s Solo show “ The belly of the beast “ .  The exhibiton space and Gamespace will transform into a maze like experience with a video & film works to be discovered. 

Before we dive into that we wanted to post the Interview with Janne Schimmel that took place during the opening of group show “ Friendly secrecy systems” . 

Janne’s work is playing with Technical obsolescence, reusing old “machines” to transform them into sculptures. At the show and brandnew expospace of  sickhouse works have been shown by :
