It's been seven years of bringing playful and alternative culture to Enschede and we want to celebrate!

Have you played a game so much that you dream about it? Inspired by games like SoulCalibur, Super Smash Bros, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, combined with our theme of the year: 

A pillow fight between diverse dreamy characters. Wear your pajamas and join early to create your own fighter and put it in the dreamworld: choose your special moves, your sound effects and your combos. May the best pillow wielder win!

We will provide the fighting pillows, the ring, and a workshop to prepare your character. Some rules will apply: no kicking, no spitting, no biting, no hair pulling, your pillow will be your weapon and your shield. You can block the punches only with your pillow or with your forearms. Niels F. Rodenburg will be our narrator and referee, and one person in the audience will act as the player: will have the controller and will score the points - and activate

Pillow Brawl Tournament! - 7 years of Sickhouse 

COLLIDERS is an our monthly meet-up for game makers , welcoming any creative, regardless of the engine they are working in. At Colliders we brainstorm, present our progress, give feedback, enjoy creations and, of course, we play!

Colliders purpose is to develop a local network for the indie / arthouse / serious game industry in the east of the Netherlands. With Colliders, we want to support each other and create more opportunities for collaborations and exchange. The meet ups are open to makers, enthusiasts, producers, artists, curators, and all people interested in game making.

In this edition of Colliders we will play some of the games created during the Global Game Jam hosted by Sickhouse. We will also introduce

, participant of this year's SickProd mentorship program.

Koos just graduated from the AKI and is fascinated by mazes and the idea of getting lost. She’s interested in playgrounds, urban art and interactive pieces. We can imagine beautiful developments within these topics, and are very excited for what will come this year. Koos will present her work during this edition of Colliders.
We will have some arcades with games from the Global Game Jam and also some more games (digital and physical) about mazes.

COLLIDERS

In February, Stitching to Resist is back with our monthly sessions. This year we are preparing several exciting collaborations with artists who are exploring different sides of textiles: playing with electronics, large scale, pixels and costumes. They will come to Enschede to have special sessions with us and we hope you will join us!

We will keep Wednesday afternoons as our regular time. The exception will be the following 

 when Monet and Javi from the Warmi Kuyen collective (Chilean, Amsterdam Based), will come to Enschede to work on their project ‘100 Butterflies for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Girls and Non-Binary people’; an embroidered collective canvas gathering the participation of different provinces of the Netherlands.
The final work will be on display during the International Women's Day Manifestation on the 8th of March!

No previous knowledge is required. Come if you are curious, if you want to learn or if you want be part of a collective creation. Materials will be provided.
