COLLIDERS Meet-up – Filmmaking
COLLIDERS is our monthly meet-up for playful makers, programmers, enthusiasts, producers, artists, designers, curators, and all people interested in game making. At Colliders, we brainstorm, present our progress, give feedback, enjoy creations and, of course, we play!
Colliders purpose is to develop a local network around indie/art house game makers and playful artists. With Colliders, we want to support each other and create more opportunities for collaborations and exchange.

Colliders has a different theme and game selection each month, in July the theme will be the intersection between games and films! We picked up some games that inspired filmmakers to make movies about them, games made by filmmakers and games that play with the language of film making.
We will also have two projects showcased at the open screens, one of them featuring alternative controller and the other one a huge collection of web based games built with a home made engine. The makers will be here if you want to know more about those projects. And as usual two short presentations from local makers featuring the process of creating and publishing your own tabletop roleplaying adventure and the process behind conceptualizing and building an immersive installation.

How to write and publish a horror roleplaying adventure in less than two years!
🗣️ Thomas van den Brink
A talk about how you can go from just liking being a dungeon master, to publishing your own tabletop roleplaying adventure online! Thomas will talk a bit about things that helped him write, programs you can join for publishing, the editing process and how he designed the book itself.
Kneel Before the Idol
🗣️ Ovidiu Lascu
An amusement park attraction that asks what happens when spirituality is manufactured and performed for an audience. Built with Arturs, Vlad, Diana, Ming-Hua, and Julia, this installation uses Touch Designer, Kinect, and MediaPipe to turn devotion into a designed act of social discomfort. You'll be watched, and you'll know it.
