Crowd Control Workshop at Expo by Night

This Thursday night will be special at Concordia, since the kunstruimte stays open late during the Expo by Night event. There will be the exhibition Joystick, by Madison Bycroft's, and we will also be there with the workshop Crowd Control: Crafting Janky Controllers for Group Play facilitated by Pablo San Gregorio and Rayhan Bayuaji.
The workshop consist of lo-fi prototyping of game controllers to be used in collaboration of other people. Participants will create their own actuators that later will be combined to create a basic game controller distributed in the space. The session will conclude with a playing session where participants will need to comunicate and collaborate with one another to interact with a given game.
No technical knowledge required. Participation is free and you don't need previous experience, it is an accessible and fun workshop using a kit of inventions for everyone.
