- LARP
DreamWalks are playful and collective dreaming sessions hosted by artist and LARP designer Jana Romanova. Between March and June, Sickhouse takes you to dreamy liminal places of Enschede to get into Dream Mode and explore in between realities. You are welcome to join for one or more walks. These sessions will lead to the creation of a final ritual hosted the 21st of June.
On Sunday 30th March we will DreamWalk around the Twente Airport. During this walk we’ll immerse ourselves into childhood dreams and think how and why do they change in time, but also how it feels to be reminded of them when we’re grown ups.
In this role playing experience we’ll play a group children making kites, paper airplanes, running around and dreaming. In the following scenes we’ll get older and see how our dreams transform as we meet every five years on the same spot over the course of 40 years. We’ll land it with becoming a choir and singing an ode to dreaming and friendships in a place with a fantastic acoustics.
As a part of the experience, you’ll receive a DreamJournal — a growing collection of pages with questions that help you create Dreamwalking experience and process it.
If you’ve been to a previous Dreamwalk, please, bring your journal with you — you’ll receive new pages for it.

Jana Romanova is a multidisciplinary artist inspired by misunderstandings. She works with performance and play practices, using photography and video to discover gaps between what we say and do. She takes these breaches in communication as possibilities for being together, whatever that could mean.
Currently, she is researching how games, play and playfulness can be tools for creating meaningful connections. She designs and facilitates LARPs (live-action role plays) and games in physical spaces as a part of her art practice.
