Sickhouse Reopening Two-Days Celebration

27. 02. 2026 – 01. 03. 2026

After two years of nomadic existence and what sometimes felt like endless struggle, Sickhouse is opening the doors to its new home and we are thrilled to invite you to our housewarming celebration on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 of February.

This moment coincides with Sickhouse 8th anniversary, so for this double celebration, we invite you to discover the potential of this new space over two days with an eclectic program featuring everything Sickhouse has to offer.

Start the celebration on Friday morning with three interactive panels about feminist practices, creative uses of alt tech, and the need for cultural spaces in the Netherlands. Expect game sessions, and the new Sickhouse arcade! A short films block curated by Sirin Bahar Demirel, a midnight screening, and a documentary project by photographer Tessa Wiegerinck and creative thinker Samantha Valenzuela. Besides a playful intervention by artist-in-residence Paulina Martínez, an interactive installation by Maggie Ghaziani, and a music program co-created with Grensfrequentie to inaugurate the dance floor.
